Prospective Students

I am currently looking for motivated students that are excited about working on novel sensing applications that have the potential to improve human health, optimize our consumption of natural resources, and help us better understand the impact we have on the environment. Since I build and evaluate real systems, I am looking for candidates that aren't afraid to tinker with hardware or learn cross-disciplinary research skills that might be outside their initial comfort zone. More specifically, I am looking for students that have some background and experience in any of the following areas:

• Printed Circuit Board Design, Soldering, Electronic Test Equipment
• Mechanical Design with 3D Printers, rapid prototyping
• RF circuit simulation and design, software radios
• Energy harvesting / Low Power System Design
• Mobile Phone / Wearable programming (Android)
• Embedded software Design (i.e. C, Embedded RTOS)
• Low power wireless networking protocols (i.e. 802.15.4, Zigbee, Bluetooth Low Energy, RFID, LoRAWAN, NB-IoT)
• Machine Learning (i.e. Scikit Learn, Tensor Flow)
